South Gulf Cove is a waterfront community located in Port Charlotte, Florida. This community is made up of mostly newer construction, with many new homes currently being built. Since much of the land is still undeveloped, the community feels more rural and has a very peaceful atmosphere.
Residents who live here enjoy access to beautiful views of the canals that lead to the Myakka River and Gulf of Mexico. Fishing, boating, canoeing, and other water activities are enjoyed by many. Although it feels like the community is miles away from everything, it's actually situated very close to numerous amenities.
Banks, restaurants, grocery stores, local and national retailers, parks, and more are all located within minutes. Boca Grande, North Port and Englewood are just a few miles away and offer luxurious beaches and other conveniences. Being situated between Fort Myers and Sarasota means that residents of South Gulf Cove have an abundance of entertainment options to choose from.
A popular nearby attraction is the Charlotte County Sports Complex, where the Stone Crabs baseball team regularly plays. The Tampa Bay Rays also hold their spring training camp there. South Gulf Cove Park is another favorite among families here, known for its wonderfully maintained playground equipment and excellent fishing areas.
